A quick and easy Halloween snack featuring hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll dough with mustard eyes, perfect for parties and kids.

Ingredients

  • Hot dogs (standard beef or pork)
  • Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Yellow mustard
  • Butter (optional, for brushing)
  • Toothpicks (optional, to secure dough)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice hot dogs in half lengthwise and pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. Unroll crescent dough and tear into strips about 1 inch wide.
  4. Wrap dough strips around each hot dog half, spiraling from one end to the other, leaving a gap at the top for eyes.
  5. Squeeze two small dots of yellow mustard onto the top of each mummy for eyes.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the dough is golden brown and puffy.
  7. Cool for 2-3 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Ensure dough is cold for easier handling. If mustard is too thin, blot it on a paper towel to prevent running. For gluten-free options, use gluten-free crescent dough. Turkey or veggie dogs can be substituted.
