A quick and healthy breakfast made with oats, peanut butter, chia seeds, milk, and honey or maple syrup, perfect for busy mornings and easy to prepare the night before.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (45 g)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (32 g), natural or creamy
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (12 g)
  • 3/4 cup milk of your choice (180 ml), dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (15 ml)

Instructions

  1. Measure 1/2 cup rolled oats and 1 tablespoon chia seeds into a jar or bowl.
  2. Add 3/4 cup milk and stir gently to soak the oats and chia evenly.
  3. Drizzle 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup over the oats and stir thoroughly.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons peanut butter on top; swirl partially or stir completely before refrigerating.
  5. Seal the jar or bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  6. In the morning, stir and adjust texture with a splash of milk if needed; add fresh fruits or nuts as desired.

Notes

Use old-fashioned rolled oats for best texture. Natural peanut butter without added sugar is recommended. For a creamier texture, use whole milk or oat milk. Add peanut butter fresh in the morning to avoid sinking or hardening. Consume within 1-2 days for best freshness. Optional toppings include fresh fruits, nuts, cinnamon, or vanilla extract.
