A simple, festive cheese board featuring blue cheese, fresh mozzarella, brie, seasonal berries, nuts, and assorted crackers, perfect for easy entertaining and any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz (115 g) blue cheese, crumbled (e.g., Point Reyes)
  • 8 oz (225 g) fresh mozzarella balls, drained (small bocconcini preferred)
  • 68 oz (170225 g) brie, whole wheel, room temperature
  • 3 cups assorted crackers (water crackers, multigrain crisps, rosemary crackers)
  • Optional: gluten-free crackers
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup (150 g) blueberries
  • 1 cup (150 g) red grapes, washed
  • ½ cup (50 g) raw almonds or candied pecans
  • 23 tablespoons (4060 ml) honey or fig jam
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Remove the brie from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before assembling to soften to room temperature.
  2. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  3. Rinse strawberries, blueberries, and grapes under cold water. Hull and halve strawberries; leave blueberries whole; grapes can be whole or halved.
  4. Place the brie wheel slightly off-center on the serving board.
  5. Crumble blue cheese into a small pile or place in a ramekin.
  6. Nestle mozzarella balls nearby, loose or speared with toothpicks.
  7. Fan out crackers around the cheeses in separate groups, mixing textures and shapes.
  8. Scatter strawberries, blueberries, and grapes in clusters around cheeses and crackers.
  9. Add handfuls of almonds or candied pecans in small piles or bowls for crunch.
  10. Tuck fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs between clusters for color and aroma.
  11. Drizzle honey or spoon dollops of fig jam near the brie for sweetness.
  12. Ensure the board looks balanced and inviting; add more fruit or nuts if needed.

Notes

Let cheeses come to room temperature before serving for best flavor and texture. Assemble the board just before guests arrive to keep crackers crisp and fruit fresh. Use fresh, ripe berries and crisp crackers. Keep cheese knives handy for ease of serving. For a dairy-free option, substitute nut-based cheese and gluten-free crackers. Store leftovers wrapped in parchment paper and refrigerated; keep crackers airtight separately.
