A fresh, easy-to-make layered dip featuring strawberries, Greek yogurt, cream cheese, and blueberries arranged like the American flag. Perfect for summer gatherings, this light and refreshing dip combines sweet and tangy flavors with a festive presentation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 4 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, softened cream cheese, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar if a sweeter mixture is desired.
  2. Rinse and thinly slice the strawberries. Set aside.
  3. Rinse blueberries and pat dry to remove excess moisture.
  4. Spread sliced strawberries in neat rows covering about one-third of a shallow rectangular or square serving dish (around 9×9 inches).
  5. Carefully spread the creamy yogurt and cream cheese mixture over the next third of the dish, smoothing it evenly without mixing with the strawberries.
  6. Arrange blueberries on the last third of the dish to create the blue field of the flag.
  7. Optionally, chop fresh mint or basil leaves and sprinkle over the white layer for garnish.
  8. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and layers to set.

Notes

Use fresh berries for best texture and appearance; pat berries dry to avoid soggy layers. Soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps. Chill dip at least 30 minutes for best flavor and layering. Can be made ahead and stored covered in refrigerator for up to 2 days. For dairy-free version, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt and cream cheese with vegan alternative.
