Easy Peppermint Bark Fudge: Best 5-Minute Holiday Candy

Easy Peppermint Bark Fudge - featured image

A quick and easy holiday treat that combines the classic flavors of peppermint bark with the creamy texture of fudge. This recipe requires no candy thermometer and comes together in under 15 minutes of active time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (200g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (200g) white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on the long sides. Lightly spray with non-stick spray if needed.
  2. Place 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave for another 15 seconds if needed. Stir until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the melted semi-sweet chocolate into the prepared pan. Spread evenly to the corners. Sprinkle half of the crushed peppermint candies over this layer and press gently. Set aside.
  4. In the same bowl, add 1 cup of white chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir well, then microwave for another 15 seconds if needed. Stir until glossy and smooth.
  5. Pour the white chocolate mixture over the first layer in the pan. Spread evenly to cover the dark layer. Sprinkle the remaining crushed peppermint candies on top and press lightly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Alternatively, freeze for 45 minutes if in a hurry.
  7. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares with a sharp knife, wiping the knife between cuts for neat edges.

Notes

Ensure your bowl is completely dry, as even a small drop of water can cause the chocolate to seize. Do not overheat the chocolate; under-melting slightly allows residual heat to finish the job. Let peppermint candies sit at room temperature before adding to prevent shocking the warm chocolate. For best texture, serve at room temperature.
