Crisp apple slices topped with a warm peanut butter drizzle, dark chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and crunchy peanuts. A quick, healthy-ish snack that’s ready in 15 minutes and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 23 tablespoons milk (any kind)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or hemp seeds (optional)
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples. Core and slice into thin rounds, about 1/8-inch thick. Arrange in a single layer on a serving plate, slightly overlapping. If not serving immediately, toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and 2 tablespoons of milk. Stir constantly until smooth and warm, about 1–2 minutes. Add more milk if needed for a pourable consistency. Stir in vanilla extract if using.
  3. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture evenly over the apple slices. Sprinkle dark chocolate chips, shredded coconut, chopped peanuts, and chia seeds on top. Finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt.
  4. Serve immediately while apples are crisp and drizzle is warm.

Notes

Best served immediately. Apples will soften and brown within 15-20 minutes. For nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter. For vegan option, use maple syrup and dairy-free chocolate chips. Warm the peanut butter drizzle gently to avoid graininess.
