A simple, 3-ingredient fall cocktail made with fresh apple cider, dry Prosecco, and a cinnamon sugar rim. Ready in 5 minutes, it’s the perfect bubbly drink for any autumn gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh apple cider per serving
  • 1 cup chilled Prosecco or Champagne (Brut) per serving
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rim, per serving)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for rim, per serving)
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • Apple slices and cinnamon sticks (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Whisk until evenly distributed.
  2. Moisten the rim of a champagne flute with a lemon wedge or damp paper towel.
  3. Dip the moistened rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture, rotating to coat evenly. Tap off excess.
  4. Fill each prepared glass about one-third to one-half full with fresh apple cider (about 1/2 cup or 4 oz).
  5. Slowly pour chilled Prosecco or Champagne into the glass, filling to the top. Pour slowly down the side to preserve bubbles.
  6. Gently stir once with a cinnamon stick or long spoon if desired.
  7. Garnish with a thin apple slice and a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh, unfiltered apple cider for best flavor. Always rim glasses before pouring liquid to prevent soggy rims. For a batch, combine cider and sparkling wine in a pitcher and stir gently; rim glasses just before serving. For a non-alcoholic version, replace Prosecco with sparkling apple cider or dry ginger ale.
