Crispy Cinnamon Sugar Apple Cider Mimosas - featured image

A festive autumn cocktail featuring fresh apple cider and dry sparkling wine, rimmed with a sweet and spicy cinnamon sugar mixture for a crisp, seasonal treat.

Ingredients

  • Fresh apple cider (chilled)
  • Dry sparkling wine or champagne (chilled)
  • Granulated sugar
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Lemon wedges
  • Thin apple slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Mix two tablespoons of granulated sugar with one teaspoon of ground cinnamon on a small plate and stir until combined.
  2. Run a lemon wedge around the outer rim of champagne flutes to wet the edge.
  3. Dip the rim of each glass into the cinnamon sugar mixture, twisting gently to coat evenly, then tap off any excess.
  4. Fill each glass about two-thirds full with cold apple cider.
  5. Slowly top off each glass with dry sparkling wine, pouring down the side to preserve bubbles.
  6. Garnish with a thin slice of apple on the rim or dropped into the drink.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are well-chilled for the best texture. Pour the sparkling wine slowly to maintain carbonation. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the sparkling wine with ginger ale or sparkling apple cider. Use fresh Ceylon cinnamon for a milder flavor, or regular ground cinnamon if preferred.
