Creamy Everything Bagel Deviled Eggs with Chive Cream Cheese

These deviled eggs combine creamy chive cream cheese with the crunchy, flavorful punch of everything bagel seasoning for a quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing snack or appetizer.

  • 6 large eggs (room temperature for best peeling)
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped (or green onions as a substitute)
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning plus extra for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water by about an inch. Add the teaspoon of white vinegar to the water.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot, turn off the heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  3. Drain hot water and immediately transfer eggs to an ice bath for at least 5 minutes.
  4. Gently tap each egg to crack the shell and peel carefully under running water to remove tiny shell bits.
  5. Slice eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out yolks into a mixing bowl.
  6. Mash yolks with a fork until fine and crumbly.
  7. Add softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, yellow mustard, chopped chives, everything bagel seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix vigorously until smooth, creamy, and well combined.
  8. Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each egg white half with the creamy yolk mixture.
  9. Sprinkle a pinch of everything bagel seasoning and extra chopped chives on top for garnish.
  10. Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 20 minutes before serving. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Use slightly older eggs for easier peeling. Adding vinegar to boiling water helps with peeling. For a silkier filling, blend with a hand mixer or food processor. Piping the filling looks neater but spooning works fine. Chill before serving to let flavors meld. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 2 days; avoid freezing.
