A creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip made effortlessly in the slow cooker, perfect for parties and cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie recommended)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken by shredding about 3 cups of cooked meat, discarding skin and bones.
  2. Soften cream cheese to room temperature or microwave for 20 seconds if needed.
  3. In the slow cooker insert, combine softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until mostly smooth.
  4. Fold in shredded chicken, shredded cheddar, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring halfway through to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed; add extra hot sauce for more spice if desired.
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl or keep warm in the slow cooker. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley before serving.

Notes

Stir halfway through cooking to prevent sticking and ensure even melting. Use rotisserie chicken for convenience. Adjust buffalo sauce quantity to control heat level. If dip is too thick after cooking, stir in milk or ranch dressing to loosen. Can be made dairy-free with suitable substitutes.
