  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves, loosely packed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Pinch of ground black pepper
  • Optional: 1 small jalapeño, seeded and chopped

Instructions

  1. Cut each avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a food processor bowl.
  2. Add 1/2 cup loosely packed fresh cilantro leaves, stems removed.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice.
  4. Add 1 small clove minced garlic.
  5. Add 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt.
  6. Pour in 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  7. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and a pinch of black pepper.
  8. Optional: Add 1 small seeded and chopped jalapeño for heat.
  9. Pulse the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  10. Taste and adjust lime juice, salt, or cilantro as desired.
  11. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Stir gently before serving if chilled.

Notes

Use ripe avocados for best creaminess. Fresh lime juice helps prevent browning. Avoid over-blending to prevent bitterness. Keep avocado pit in dip when refrigerating to slow browning. For dairy-free, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut or almond yogurt. Jalapeño is optional for heat.
