A cozy fall margarita made with apple cider, silver tequila, fresh lime juice, and maple syrup, finished with a cinnamon sugar rim. It’s quick, easy, and perfect for crisp evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz apple cider (unfiltered preferred)
  • 2 oz silver tequila (e.g., Espolòn or Cazadores)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz maple syrup (Grade A dark amber)
  • Ice (large cubes preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Lime wedge (for rim)
  • Thin apple slice (optional garnish)
  • Cinnamon stick (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small shallow dish, combine 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. Mix until evenly distributed.
  2. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass to dampen it.
  3. Turn the glass upside down and dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture, pressing lightly. Tap off excess and set aside.
  4. Fill the prepared glass with large ice cubes.
  5. In a separate small pitcher or measuring cup, combine 4 oz apple cider, 2 oz silver tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and ½ oz maple syrup. Stir until the maple syrup is dissolved.
  6. Pour the mixture over the ice in the glass. Stir gently for about 10 seconds.
  7. Garnish with a thin apple slice and a cinnamon stick, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Large ice cubes melt slower and prevent dilution. Let the cinnamon sugar rim set for about 30 seconds before pouring the drink. For a non-alcoholic version, replace tequila with sparkling water or ginger beer.
