A quick and easy tropical margarita slushie made with frozen mango, pineapple, tequila, and lime juice, perfect for summer parties and backyard gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (600 grams) frozen mango chunks
  • 3 cups (450 grams) frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup (240 ml) tequila blanco
  • ½ cup (120 ml) triple sec or orange liqueur
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 12 tablespoons agave nectar or honey (optional)
  • 2 cups (about 300 grams) ice cubes
  • Coarse salt for rimming glasses
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip them into a shallow plate of coarse salt. Set aside to dry and stick.
  2. Squeeze fresh limes until you have ¼ cup (60 ml) of juice.
  3. In a blender, add frozen mango chunks and frozen pineapple chunks. Pulse briefly to break them up slightly.
  4. Add tequila blanco, triple sec, fresh lime juice, agave nectar or honey if using, and ice cubes to the blender.
  5. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth and thick slushie consistency is achieved. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  6. Pour the blended margarita into a serving pitcher. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime if needed. Chill if not serving immediately.
  7. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with fresh lime wedges. Optionally add a pineapple slice or mint sprig.

Notes

Use frozen fruit for best slushie texture. Avoid overblending to prevent warming or watery consistency. Fresh lime juice is essential for bright flavor. Adjust sweetness with agave nectar or honey to taste. Chill pitcher before serving to keep drink cold longer. Salt rim is optional but recommended for authentic margarita flavor.
