A simple, quick, and delicious charcuterie board perfect for two, featuring a balanced mix of cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts, and spreads to create an intimate and easy date night experience.

Ingredients

  • Manchego cheese, sliced (firm and nutty flavor)
  • Brie, room temperature (soft and creamy, spreads beautifully)
  • Aged cheddar, cubed (sharp, adds a bold bite)
  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced (delicate and salty)
  • Salami, sliced (spicy or mild variety based on preference)
  • Seedless grapes, washed
  • Dried apricots
  • Fresh figs or seasonal berries (optional)
  • Marcona almonds
  • Whole grain mustard
  • Fig jam or honey
  • Kalamata olives, pitted
  • Crackers or sliced baguette (gluten-free options: almond flour crackers or crisp veggies like cucumber slices)

Instructions

  1. Remove cheeses from the fridge about 30 minutes before assembling to bring them to room temperature.
  2. Slice Manchego and cheddar into bite-sized chunks or thin slices. Leave Brie whole but score the top lightly for easy spreading.
  3. Fold or roll prosciutto slices into delicate ribbons and fan out the salami.
  4. Wash and dry grapes, slice fresh figs if using, and place dried apricots in a small pile.
  5. Toss Marcona almonds into a bowl or scatter them around the board.
  6. Spoon fig jam or honey into small ramekins. Add whole grain mustard to another.
  7. Pit and drain olives, placing them in their own bowl.
  8. Arrange cheeses spaced out on the board, then add meats nearby, followed by fruits, nuts, and bowls of spreads.
  9. Fill in gaps with crackers or baguette slices, balancing colors and textures.
  10. Drizzle a little honey over the cheddar and sprinkle fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary if available.
  11. Serve immediately at room temperature for best flavor and texture.

Notes

Let cheeses come to room temperature before serving for best flavor. Arrange meats folded or rolled for easier picking. Assemble right before serving to keep crackers crisp and fruits fresh. For gluten-free, swap crackers with almond flour crackers or veggies. For vegan, use plant-based cheeses and roasted chickpeas instead of nuts.
