  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) soy sauce
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) butter, melted
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove moisture.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Toss the wings in the dry mixture until thoroughly coated. Shake off excess coating.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange wings in a single layer without overcrowding.
  5. Cook wings for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. While wings cook, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, melted butter, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Warm gently over low heat for 3-5 minutes without boiling.
  7. Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl and toss with the warm honey garlic sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Serve immediately for best crispiness. Optionally garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
